The best of Buenos Aires in one week for solo travelers

When a common friend told me that Silvia had always dreamed of visiting a South American country, I was more than happy to take on the work to present her the most interesting things of Buenos Aires in one week.

I went to Argentina in November 2022. I wanted to visit South America for a very long time and this was my first time getting there. Therefore I had a lot of expectations. Me and Johanna had a chat prior to her organizing the trip on what I would like to do and the things I was interested to see.

Argentina definitely met my expectations. A lot of colorful markets, amazing restaurants, welcoming people. Johanna did great on planning the trip around what I wanted to do. I saw the best of Buenos Aires in one week and I also had the chance to visit Iguazu falls which was definitely worth the trip, an amazing day into the nature.
Johanna and her husband David were amazing hosts during my time there, making sure all was going as planned.

Buenos Aires is unlike any other city you’ll visit in your life. Why is that? Hard to say. Maybe it’s the combination of South American style and European elegance that makes the Argentine capital stand out. From the immigrants influenced tango music to the Spanish inspired “picada” appetizer plate offered at almost every restaurant in Buenos Aires, the modern-day Argentine capital offers quite a singular cultural experience. There’s lots of fun to be had in Buenos Aires, day or night. Explore the city’s secret bars, check out the vibe in one of the city’s many bustling cultural centers, go to a closed-door restaurant, take a tango class – you name it, we’ll organize it!

DiscoverTango team will ensure that you get the most out of your visit, so come visit and join the fun!
